- The nearest international airports are located in Vienna and Munich. We recommend taking flights to one of these two. The nearest local airports are Salzburg and Linz. From there, take the train or rent a car to travel to Mauterndorf (see further instructions below).

- There is no train stop in Mauterndorf. From Salzburg, go to Radstadt by train and take the bus number 3070 in the direction of Tamsweg. Train and bus schedules can be found on the website of the Austrian railway company (ÖBB): http://www.oebb.at.
- By car
- Mauterndorf is easiest to reach via the A10 (Tauernautobahn) connecting Salzburg and Villach. Take exit "St. Michael" and follow the B99 to Mauterndorf (ca. 10km).
